British Steel - Nationalisation

Work from home is bollocks and you know it ECB

Well I've barely been to my old place of work in 5 years, it's no longer leased by my company saving £500k a year plus maintenance.

We're more productive than ever.

Well you don’t reverse 14 years of systemic incompetence, corruption and neglect and neglect in eight or nine months.
I get that.

At some point they will need to start taking more accountability and stop blaming the previous regime.

I got that too. At what point do you think it’s time to stop blaming a government of 14 years and blame one of nine months?

Anytime in the second half of their 5 year term of office.
That seems sensible. I’d argue that it will take more than two and a half years to turn around the absolute mess this country was and remains in but yes, the government will need to start owning things in time to set the narrative for the 2029 election.

Everyone will be skint by the time they've completed 2,1/2yrs. and we'll be overrun by illegal immigrants by then, a vote of no confidence in this Government is very possible.

The day they took power.

Stop blaming others, we all know what the Tories have done to the country.

Even the most staunched Labour supporter has to admit they've not hit the ground running since winning the election.

I had little confidence in Starmer before the election, I have absolutely zero confidence in him now.

So the day the6 took office everything became their fault and forget what happened previously. Ok, that makes no sense at all but it’s a view at least.

I didn't say that. The Labour Party remind us very 5 minutes whose fault it is.

The country knows what the Tories have done, stop hiding behind it and stand up and the show the country he truly is the leader to restore the country.

Kier Starmer only sings when he's winning.

Rhun just spoke very well, as he always does, on the Port Talbot / Scunthorpe issue.

Hopefully it will end the Labour Party in South Wales.

Trouble is a lot of people are jumping towards that Reform company. Social media has a lot to answer for, for that. Plaid need to pull their fingers out and get into these communities.

I’m not blaming Labour for the situation though.

I’d be surprised if reform picked up many votes, the bits I’ve read about them, their party seems in disarray.

They wouldn’t get my vote, it will be the conservatives my X will go in. Better the devil you know, and all that.

Oh, the blame game is in full swing again typical of all governments, although this government is tearing Britain apart they are more concerned with asylum seekers, than the hard working taxpayers.
This government have been in for 8 months or so and the previous government were in for 14 years. Of course they’re going to blame the previous government as it is, definitely, their fault that we are in the mess we are in.
Brexit alone is the cause of huge financial pressure. And essential services were systematically defunded over a decade or more in a transfer range of wealth to a tiny minority.
Asylum seekers are a great example of something that was literally out of control under the last government. At least this government are attempting to do something.

The bigger issue around migration though is what people suggest happens if we cut numbers of immigrants. We simply do not have enough people in the workforce to pay for the boomer generation’s pensions and healthcare. So immigration is the only way of dealing with it. It was far easier when we had freedom of movement with the EU as people could come and go on a temporary basis to fill economic gaps. We don’t have that now, so migration has switched to more permanence which cause a lot of issues.
