British Steel - Nationalisation

I guess the biggest question is, what could really be done to stop the boats? Even if a government is 100% committed, I can’t see them stopping it, by humane means. Unless you send a small army of people to patrol the shores in France, or once they come off the dingy to be put on a ship and returned straight back. No doubt whatever it would take, it would take an insane amount of money. And at the moment, i don’t think any political party is capable of that.
Replying to myself 🤣 Because I’ve just had an idea, I think the only way to do it safely, would be to strike a deal with France, that anyone who comes across in a dingy, could be returned straight away. A few months of doing that, and I think the boats would stop.

We could learn a thing or two from the Australians.

I just googled that, is it right they use an island as a processing centre? At a cost of nearly 5 billion? Not sure of the number’s Australia gets, but if we adopted a policy like that in this country, I would think the cost would be a lot higher, just by the sheer volume of numbers arriving. Ultimately I blame the French, these dinghies arriving, are not isolated incidents, there must be around 30 plus leaving the French shores each day, and it’s not even summer yet. They must be held responsible,

The French aren't going to make much of an effort to stop the crossing and who can blame them when there is hardly any accountability placed on them from these shores.

Starmers's Border Security Command is costing an alleged 700 million with little reward. It will be interesting to see if Labour pursue the idea of sending asylum seekers to detention centres in the western Balkans. Their equivalent of Rwanda.

Whether you agreed with the Rwanda scheme or not it started to have the desired impact.

I never paid much attention to the Rwandan scheme, I always thought it was a non starter. Though I guess a similar project will be almost a certainty in the future, otherwise where do you house them all whilst they are waiting for processing. The more I think about it, I don’t really blame them for wanting a better life, but when there could be some right undesirables mixed in with decent people, then I guess the government has no choice but to treat them all with caution, till they find out exactly who they are.

Fucking hell I asked one reasonable question gents, stop playing the victims. Which I obviously didn’t get an answer to by the way, which is par for the course.

In better news, I see that Yaxley lost his appeal today. Happy Wednesday.

Every question you've asked has been answered, you may not like the answer or have a reply so pretend it's been ignored, that's actually the real par for the course and resort to name calling.

Fair play it didn't take long 👏🏼

There's an issue of course, nobody is saying there isn't.

The irony is we were all told in 2016 this would be sorted and nearly ten years later... Well
From BBC News page online,

"The latest Home Office data show 705 migrants in 12 boats arrived in Dover on Tuesday - the highest daily figure so far this year.

It brings the total for 2025 to 8,888 people, a rise of 42% on the same period last year."

No sign of women and children on that boat.!

Anyway, back to the R Madrid v Arse.

Agreed.

I'm getting fed up of people accusing others of either being radicalised by the media or thick because they have genuine concerns and view points that differ from others.
People can call me what they want it won't alter my views of what's going on in this Country. I had hopes for Labour when Starmer became leader after Corbyn, but that soon changed after seeing a few of his challenges towards the Tories, performances of a wet lettuce useless.

I can't see him being PM by the end of this term.
