• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Reports this morning suggest that the Swans and Burnley have finally reached agreement over a deal that should see the wantaway striker leave SA1 before the end of the month. It’s been a long and painful pursuit that started back in the summer but, assuming that the reports are correct, now appears...

Well if the rumours are it's an obligation to buy for £4m in the summer, and barnes in on loan as his replacement, I think it's a shocker.

No mobility whatsoever in final third.

My god. Ashley Barnes the thug?

Can't be a Martin signing surely and what about his wages?

I've only seen it on twitter mind so could be nonsense, but that deal worries me big time unless we are freeing up funds to bring in a player like Ogbene to bring in aswell.

Personally, I just want Obafani as far away from our club as possible, regardless of his ability he's a wrong un, let him be someone else's problem...

Barnes is a good player and brings that experience in, we was linked to him in the Prem wasn’t we? I’m guessing Burnley are covering his wages as part of the deal.

I’ve got no problem with bringing Barnes in. Experienced, physical and can score goals.

Thinks Barnes is a good option surprised he wants to come here. For the love of god we need pace though.Pointless having someone like Barnes if we can't get down the line and cross.

Hes only had 2 goals and 2 assists in 21 appearances for the top of the table team walking the division. He's 33 too. Big no from me.

How many of those appearances were like the one down here a couple of weeks ago when he came on in the 89th minute? A majority of them I would wager.
Amazing that some supporters can turn their noses up at a player who has physical presence and is a battler and has scored over 40 Premier league goals. We're unlikely to get better on our budget.

could be a big help with our kids and softer players in getting us into the play offs but by Fluck we nace pace if we get in to the play offs
I did say could be
and what a waste of wonga on Obachildy - prat
