Isn't it too late to sort out getting anyone in now anyway? So it'll either be Oba out and some of the funding gap filled or Oba in and more chance for Martin to show he has no real idea how to play him and Piroe as a pair.

We've probably got what we've got. Better hope that Flex Cundle are good at Wingbackery, 'cos that's where he's probably going to shove them.

Its reaching that timeframe now where you can only assume they will pass a medical and just take the chance rushing through the paperwork

They’ll sell him at 22:59 and claim they had no time to bring anyone in.

David Ngog is in the area. He's not at the stadium or Fairwood, however he's only a short helicopter ride away.

All the short helicopters are fully booked fortunately.

As an aside, 33 year old Federico Fernandez has left Newcastle to join La Liga side Elche. Just down the road from me! They are the Aston Villa of Spain, i.e. shyte.

Credit where its due. The owners / Winter held firm.

Until January when the fun (anxiety starts again).

Yep. Given the apparent shortfall in our finances, it's a good sign that the club were confident enough to turn down 3 offers. Looks like they had a valuation in mind and weren't willing to go below it. That's a good sign for the January transfer window if Piroe or Obafemi have scored a lot of goals by then.

While the recent incomings have all been loans, they will still be costing the club something. Wonder if we'll need another cash injection during the season to stay in the black?

Realistically though, who gives a flying one? If players are here or not, the personal decision remains the same, shall I go to the footie or not? If the football club you’re a customer of does or does not make you happy then the choice is yours.

Stuart James is reporting that the offer was nowhere near our valuation. Given our valuation was £10m, probably means it was around the £5m mark.

Given replacement cost etc, it probably wouldn't have made sense even to our overlords to sell him at that price.

Giving credit for holding firm isn't really warranted when it wasn't really an attractive offer.

Let's hope he knuckles down, rekindles his good partnership with Piroe, and they start finding the net regularly.

Yeah, hopefully no more excuses of their heads being in the wrong places. Just back to Obafemi's shots going the wrong places

Totally agree, surprised me though as well as many others l suppose, as l thought they’d settle for a low bid when push came to shove.
Fairplay though.
