Bye then Ayew

We may well have achieved ‘nothing’ with him but the fact that we were 90 minutes away from a promotion to the PL has a lot to do with him. Take him out of the squad and we’d be lucky to make the top 8 let alone the playoff final.

He had some off games, but who didn’t. The number of goals he scored this season when we looked like getting f*ck all out of games was staggering.

Not defending his wages mind, but we offered it, he accepted it.

A very good player in the Championship but admittedly a luxury we can’t afford. I’m not going to ‘fanboy’ over him but I think it’s a bit harsh to criticise him when there are plenty of others more deserving of it.

I hear the argument saying we could have signed 3 or 4 players for his wages, but it doesn’t mean that they’d be used properly by our manager. See also: C. ‘Coup of the season’ Hourihane.

You'll find the better posters often have similar/same viewpoints. They tend to be of higher intellect.

He’s obsessed with you, sorry me Fath.
Aye sure !! 😁😁
Anyway still not admitting to how old you are ?
Also as for being too old for fawning over "stars" , who is the one who is obsessed with getting their picture taken with "stars" ?
Should have grown out of that by now old boy ? 😏😏

Quality player when the ball's at his feet and apparently a rock in the dressing room. I'm sure he'll be missed.

Although I must admit that I struggled to buy into the hype. We didn't know where to play him first time round, and second time he's been a shadow of his former self. I'd go as far as saying his legs have gone. He's got no pace and has lost his leap, barely winning any headers in the opposition half when that used to be one of his strong points. You can't fault his effort though, and it's hard to look past those goals. In the end I'm a bit conflicted - he's been one of our better players, but he's no Scott Sinclair for example.

I think if he was younger his effect would have been greater still. As you say lost some of his speed, but if he was in a team of the same quality and attacking intent ( even now ) as Brendan's team would have been more succesful
