I thought Israel would delay a response in retaliating against Iran. Whether they are trying to gauge how the allies feel is open to question as they don't really consider anyone when it comes to a response ordinarily. This one is more serious so maybe they are trying to give Hezbollah in Lebanon a major defeat before turning the focus back on Iran.
