• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

You both know that my problem isn't with the fact that it isn't directly about the Swans - it's the fact this is the nth post this week that is completely baiting some sort of weird political argument that some people on here are desperate to have.

I've no problem with politics being in football (not that this is specifically political), but you can't honestly tell me the quoted message below is even close to being relevant to a football board
Stop chatting shit ffs, hopefully no fatalities and may the injured recover quickly.
From a fellow football supporter 🖤🤍❤️🤍

The good news so far is that as far as I can tell no fatalities have been reported.

Hopefully that remains the case and I hope that the explanation for what happened is as innocent as someone having a heart attack or seizure or something behind the wheel rather than a deliberate attack by somebody on the crowd.

Critical incident declared in all Liverpool hospitals

Deliberate act of criminality and another attack on the people of Liverpool.

Terrible, terrible scenes. There will be several possible explanations for this but casting assumptions at this stage adds no value. Let the police investigation do its work and then go from there. Above all else, everyone should be hoping for the avoidance of fatalities and life changing injuries. Best wishes to all those in hospital.

The Mutton Brigade are already blaming Starmer FFS. Let the people do their jobs and hopefully no one will have serious injuries

It would seem he was under the influence of drugs and tailgated an ambulance onto a closed road (Dale Street and on to Water Street). Whilst there is footage circulating of the car being attacked prior to ramming people it would be better not to speculate what prompted this act. I'm just relieved friends and former colleagues, several with their kids, who went to the parade are all fine and that all injured are recovering.

Indefensible at the best of times, but while sometimes people like this get a slap on the wrist if the stories are accurate then I cannot see any way that people won't make an example of him in the courts. They will in no way want to be seen as weak with people who drive under influence when it caused such a very public incident

Knowing the state on the country he’ll probably be given a 15 year jail sentence and a 10 year driving ban to run concurrently.

Obviously he hasn't been charged yet but it says a lot that he was arrested under suspicion of attempted murder and on top of DUI. As you said if he is tried for that especially 50+ counts of it I wouldn't be surprised to see a 15 year or even more jail term

Seen the uncut footage. Clearly not 53 and not white. Draw your own conclusions.
