• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Chambers still has two years left on his deal too. Anyone want to guess some odds on whether there's a relegation clause?
I didn’t realise until recently that he was a permanent signing. I thought he was there on loan.

Even if £45k per week gets cut in half, that’s still huge by League One standards.

The number of players they've got on big money are the main reason I suspect that they might not have bottomed out yet.

If Tan dumps them and go bankrupt and lose their league position, would a ghost team be able to be resurrected in the English tier like others have done or would they have to be reborn in the Welsh system?

I think if that happened, and they had to start again, they should definitely restart in the Welsh system.

That way, they could realise their dream of awakening the sleeping giant that they think they are, by winning league after league after league and qualifying for Europe. Their promised land would finally be delivered.

Yes, the more I think about it, this is definitely the best option for them. I might write in.

Chambers weekly wage could be as much as the whole Burton Albion team 😱

Nobody considering them as a potential investment will give two shits about that. If being a "Capital City" was a factor investors would be swarming all over the likes of Charlton, Millwall or Leyton Orient.

They'll be looking at a club up to its eyeballs in debt to the owner, with an extremely fickle fanbase and an overpaid and undertalented squad and trying to decide if they're worth the bother. If you had £50m to spend on a football club, there are better options out there.
You forgot a pending supreme court case which if (when) they lose will cost them further tens of millions in not just damages to the club but also legal fees

He’s awful - Spurs are the Cardiff of the top half of the PL - not done anything for a long time and the most entitled delusional fans
Except when they are rooted to the bottom half of the table alongside Yernited

They could probably just about afford it with the £4k prize money they got from finishing last

Going to guess that they were far to conceited/deluded/ stupid to have put relegation clauses in any contract.
Pity ramshite only signed a 2 year contract- was hoping it was at least 3 yrs

Also quite puzzling to see how desperate many of them are to see Ramsey get the managers job full time. They've spent most of the season whining about how Riza didn't have the ability/experience to manage them, yet have no problem when it's "one of their own".

Given the mess that they're in the last thing they should be doing is appointing a total novice.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Ramsey got the job mind. 🙏

This is why I’m glad Luton went down. They are far more likely to take one promotion place.
Exactly. Luton are definitely going to take one of the promotion places, so that leaves 2 places to fight for, not 3.
