• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

So when is Blooper taking over, then?

If he drags his feet, some other A-list manager will snatch it away from under his nose.

I remember when Riza first took charge as interim, and I was genuinely worried for a bit. They were scoring loads of goals, had a pretty impressive comeback against Norwich (which turns out to be their last win - 3rd November), and a lot of the 'big names' were performing pretty well.

I thought 'shit, they might have found a gem in this Riza bloke', assuming he was just a coach previously waiting for his first shot as the big boy.

Didn't realise his previous managerial experience - less than a season and Cheshunt (yes, Cheshunt) and a few months at Leyton Orient! Fantastic stuff!

Can't see them steadying this any time soon. The ground supposedly only touched 15,000 tonight which is unbelievably shit. Fans are already against Riza (although that's not even necessarily his fault).

I'm still not confident for the Derby. Never will be.

There was never 15,000 there tonight
Taken off ccmb...

The 8 or 9 thousand who braved that shambles deserve better, as do the many who are now staying away.

The levels of delusion in them remain strong however. One genius on Twits last night was claiming that Perry Ng was "the best right back in the division".

I'm not entirely sure that he'd be the second best right back in our squad.

Key is light years clear ffs

When I say that he's probably not the second best RB in our squad, it's more because he might be the third best.

Key is probably better as a RWB than a pure RB in a similar way that Connor Roberts was. As a simple RB I'd say even now Naughton was better.

They're both superior to Ng, but in different ways.

That has to be near the end after loads left, surely? Otherwise that looks like the crowd for a first-round Carabao tie against a League 2 kind of crowd.
Yeah it looks like added time just got announced, they were 1-0 down at that time, they buggered off fairly quick.

I’m all for sticking the boot into that lot, but over attendances? 🙈🤣
