Last week Swansea City Supporters’ Trust and Swansea City AFC announced an upcoming Fans Forum and Fundraising Evening in Carmarthen on Wednesday 11th June 2025.
The event is part of the Swans Trust and Swansea City AFC’s commitment to regularly provide opportunities to directly engage with the Jack Army and is also being kindly supported on this occasion by Club partner Swansea Building Society.
Originally it was planned to hold the event in the Carmarthen Town AFC clubhouse to help raise awareness and boost one of the two chosen organisations for the evening – the GO Jones Academy Scholarship. The other – where all proceeds from the event will be shared equally – is the Cwtsh Clos Appeal
Over the past couple of days, we’ve been reviewing registrations and demand from supporters wishing to attend the event and following discussions with the Club, Carmarthen Town AFC and all supporting organisations it’s been decided to move the event to a nearby larger venue in Carmarthen’s Nott Square – the St Peter’s Civic Hall
This now allows more supporters to register online HERE and attend the event should they so wish.
If anyone has any accessibility requirements, we recommend you contact Swansea City at accessibility@swanseacity.com
Note: If you have already registered an interest in attending the original venue you do not need to re-register.
Both Swansea City and the Swans Trust would like to thank everyone who has so far registered to express an interest in attending the forum, the first Swansea City fan engagement event held in Carmarthen since the Swans Trust helped in arranging for Brendan Rodgers to be part of a panel in Carmarthen Town AFC clubhouse before we got promoted to the Premier League.
As of last night, we were advised by Swansea City there were already 130 registrations received with almost two weeks still to go before the event takes place.
Doors will be opening at St Peter’s Civic Hall on Nott Square as originally planned at 5.45pm and the first questions will be put to the panel at around 6.15pm.
We’d like to express our gratitude to the committee at Carmarthen Town AFC who have been working closely with us and Swansea City to allow this event to happen.
As mentioned all proceeds raised for this event will be shared equally between the two chosen organisations and anyone wishing to make a donation towards the event can do so by clicking HERE or by scanning the QR code below.

On the panel will be Swansea City AFC representatives made up of:
Alan Sheehan – Head Coach
Tom Gorringe – Chief Executive Officer
Richard Montague – Director of Football
Kev Johns has kindly agreed to host the event and we are also grateful to Mal Pope for coming along as our special guest to support the Cwtsh Clos Appeal.
During the evening there will be various ways to help raise funds and there will also be items brought along that will be auctioned with all proceeds going towards the two organisations.
Drinks and snacks can be purchased on the evening and there will also be complimentary tea and coffee provided.
If anyone has any further questions, please get in touch with us at info@swanstrust.co.uk or Swansea City at support@swanseacity.com
