Wonder if the Chelski fans will be chanting Abramovich's name on Sunday in the "Blood Money Derby " against Newcastle?...

I'm sure more details will come out but current contracts are covered so far. That should cover TV payments but don't clubs get extra for being a live match. Would that now mean no more Chelsea games on TV.

I wonder if all detail has been considered.

Looks like Govt statement says that club will receive TV income, and be able to sell food and drink, just not merchandise or matchday tickets.

Bit of a muddle tbh.

You'd have thought it would have been very simple to put any future ticket sales etc into a stand alone bank account, that could not be accessed without approval

That's what's happening with TV money I understand. Given TV revenues are by far the big end of the wedge, it's tinkering around the edges in some regards.

It might work out better for him , his assets will be unfrozen eventually and he might have changed his mind about giving any money to charities by then

The reasons for the charity offer won't be in play if and when things get back to normal and his assets are unfrozen , could be a long time before that happens

I think Monny shares my belief that no charity was every going to see a penny from Abramovich if he sold the club.

He said something about giving to victims of the war. No doubt if he was to give anything it would be to Russian victims not Ukrainian ones.

But he said he was giving the proceeds of the sale to Ukraine.,........does someone somewhere think he was telling porkies?

Net proceeds Dick. After he'd deducted his expenses of, well, all of it.

"Abramovich superyacht heads west across Mediterranean after sanctions
Solaris is tracked off coast of Sicily, joining hurried sailings of Russian yachts to avoid seizure"

Some might ask why this wasn't done earlier before they all got out and no doubt took a lot of their wealth with them.

Hypocrisy at its best when you remember that Johnson and the tory scum took plenty of Russian money as donations. Wankers the lot of them.

I took this back in 2013 in Marmaris, Turkey. His yacht was moored out in the bay so I hired a little putt putt boat and went for a closer look. The captain came on the speaker and warned from getting any closer

So what are the short and long term ramifications for Chelsea?

Short term: they'll be playing in front of no fans from as soon as April?

Long term: They will simply just go bust as they can't generate any revenue?
