• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Co-owner becoming a free agent...

Indy are saying the Modric buying house story is a fake, so let’s see what’s happening.

Rumours Gorringe is leaving us in June and going to Brentford.

After two months in the job?
I read about this one just before the weekend.

No clue how much truth there is in it, and it would seem strange indeed for him to be headhunted when he hasn't even done anything at the club yet. Not sure how big a part he has had in the very promising start to our summer transfer business but its definitely not a boat we want rocked in any way realistically.

Does anyone actually give a fuck if he’s buying a house in Swansea or not?
He’s a multi millionaire who’ll spend next to no time in Wales what the hell would he want a bloody house here for?
People will believe anything.

Modric will need a safe haven when he travels back on the coach from Stoke on a Wednesday night ..

Gorringe is weird one. Wonder what's going on there if true. Of course he is jumping to a Premier league club, but just putting it out there if it happens then so be it. Not sure we want journey men at the club. People come and go, but if he goes the moment another club flirts with him, then he can do a Williams 😊😊

I don't think Gorringe is leaving. It wouldn't make any sense for him to be on the panel for the fans forum if he is

Ever since the Yanks took control of the Swans there have always been innuendos of behind the scenes shenanigans and whose to say that the delayed arrival of the Celtic coach has something to do with the Gorringe rumour.

The house buying story is someone flyong a kite...read the Sun article again....Three Crosses and close to the beach!
Leons house is actually in Upper Killay..and its still advertised on line so if Modric were buying it Im sure Leon woukd have dissed the agent save himself a wedge.
Whilst 3 Crosses is near the beach its not close to the beach like properties in Caswell and Langland. Some ome somewhere took the free agent and Leons house sale and looked to make some money from the Sun.

Whilst a lot of us fans would love to see Modric here would it really happen?

Imagine the situation....Whilst Sheehan has done a great job to date he is not a " personality" or "celebrity" manager ala Pep,Klopp,Marino, how would he cope with a figure such as Modric in the dressing room especially if neithernof them saw eye to eye over footballing matters especially when Modric is a shareholder/part owner.

Modric isnt coming if he was it would surely be as player coach/manager it wouldnt work otherwise.

I'm amazed how many people genuinely believe that Modric will have any kind of day-to-day role with us any time in the foreseeable future. This isn't a world-class player that has been retired for 20 years and wants to return to the game.

He'll be wanting some return on investment. At best, he may have some contacts to pass on here or there. He's still got some playing time in him and it'll be spent in America or the Middle-East earning hundreds of thousands per week, not running around the Liberty for a mid-table Championship club for a relative pittance.

It's a positive to have him on board, but it's being over-egged far too much.

Joining a two horse race just to keep his fitness up, can't be any other reason to join Rangers
