There is an increased belief that Burnley may be prepared to let former Swans defender Connor Roberts leave on loan in the January transfer window after a frustrating start to his career at Turf Moor that has seen game time become very limited. Roberts joined Burnley on transfer deadline day after more...

There were always serious doubts about whether he was a good enough RB to hold down a regular place in the Premier League. If Burnley played with Wingbacks they might have got more out of him. For £2m to them he was probably worth a punt as a squad player.

I hope he hasn't reverted to the cobby Roberts of a couple of years ago and gotten up Dyche's nose as a result because he's proven himself capable of being better than that.

Should have had the Swansea history lesson...."the grass is not always greener the other side"

Watching the game on Wednesday I said even though Laird has done well we are missing Connor. He would be ideal in the current tactics.

He’ll be back in the Championship before the signs for the January sales are taken down. I’d have no objections to a return to us and I would like to think that he would be open to it.

I'd take him back like a shot, but then you've got the problem of picking between him and Laird. Not so hard lately as Laird has been marked out of games too easily the last few, but at the start of the season he was electric and one of our main threats. I suppose it's wouldn't be a bad problem to have.

Will he be happy to take the massive pay cut though?

I think Burnley will have to subsidise part of it regardless of where he goes In the Championship.

Never any doubt. Never a PL player, not in a million years. Good Championship player though.

And so many Swans fans were up in arms that we didn’t get more than £2.5 million for him.

Bad move should never have gone same as rodon

Set for life if he’s sensible.
But Roberts and Rodon should be a reality check to people saying they were sold cheaply.

Yea and I still am. I don't really care what he's done for after his transfer, he was worth more than £2.5mill to us. And we'll still have to spend a chunk of that to find a permanent replacement that comes anywhere near him.

Rodon similar, although that's more a market value thing. Spurs haven't played him at all, but we sold him so under his value that Spurs still stand to make about £9mill profit on him.
