    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

Brennan Johnson is the present and the future of Welsh football.

Bale should not be starting ahead of him.
 
It's funny, Cooper wanted Panzo, Garner, signed Surridge for us and he's got a mix of other really good young players like Johnson.

You'd have to be a fool to bet against them for the play-offs, but were Ayew, Brewster, Lowe etc that far behind the team he has there because the football is far different to what we played?

Yes but we had Fulton, Grimes and Smith in midfield slowing everything down with their sideways and backwards passing and creating very little in the process.

To be fair, Cooper wanted Hourihane, he got Hourihane. He wanted Gallagher and that's what he had. He had MGW and Palmer but nothing ever changed with our style.

He also rewarded Fulton with a new contract and signed Smith
 
Forest play some good stuff to be fair. Just don't understand why it was cr4p here with him. He's proving himself and getting the plaudits for it. I amongst many couldn't see him doing so well at Forest. But fair play to him.
 
I don’t really remember the style of playing being THAT bad when he was here, it was after that Norwich win at home I started to notice it being absolutely turd.
 
F*cking Cooperball, he'll get found out, he always does, his run will never last etc etc. and all the other arsedribble that's posted on here. Keep going Stevie boy, go win the FA Cup and get promotion.

Along comes super duper Martin, who has got us consistently playing the worst football I've seen for donkeys years. In fairness to him, he wins the passing stats, and has good second half's of games, sometimes.

I don't want him sacked, he should be given time, but some of the bitter, cry-baby nonsense spouted by some is cringeworthy.

This. Never understood why it went completely downhill from there and culminated in the pathetic performance against Brentford.

Strange one isn’t it, I think he genuinely thought to grind out results and we’d stay second, reminded me of Carvalhal started off lovely football, then when it looked like we’d stay up he shat himself and got us relegated.
 
Cooper had us playing dour but generally effective football, which got worse towards the end of last season and culminated in a shocking no-show at Wembley. He then chose to jump ship rather than stay here and try to do better with a weaker squad.

He's now doing well with a better team and they're playing good football. Good for him. We may well end up wishing for him back if it doesn't work out with Martin. That wouldn't change the facts that he chose to leave and the football was generally turd to watch. Fine if it leads to success, but we're still in the same league so clearly it didn't.

Yes sorry, you're right. Both the club and manager seemed happy for him to leave. I get the feeling that the club would have been happy to keep a manager who got us to the playoffs twice in a row, but have no evidence for that.
 
Good to see Cooper and Tate doing well. Quite a track record for a young manager and a brave decision to leave for pastures new.
