Would you leave and turn down 200k + in earnings over the contract period? No

Club should have sorted this, he isn't leaving entirely on his own accord that's for sure.

And as for Ayew, come on that was 6 years ago now. He couldn't do that anymore.

Thats what hes doing now though?
There was a load of us on here asking him to leave before the play offs
Like it makes sense and maybe the club said they'll back him in the summer, and hed be allowed to leave if another job was available
And hes now annoyed that he didnt get out
And as for Ayew, hes better being older up front than out wide

No he is getting paid off now, completely different to walking away. Job security and that, his income is sorted, family looked after. And he has a good reputation.

Agree he was probably promised things that haven't happened

Out of interest, where has it been stated he is getting paid off?

The fact he is leaving by mutual consent. Basically a nice way of saying the club are paying him to leave. He would have resigned and left otherwise and got no money, and there would not have been this weird buffer period, probably as part of the agreement

Mutual consent is usually a payment of part of the contract agreed by both parties

Or he could have walked and we sue him for the remainder of his contract, other managers in those circumstances have been placed on gardening leave. He can't just walk away and go to another job. Unlikely any money is being paid here.

Another 3 months here and he wouldn't be able to get a bigger job.

Well done Dar, first with the news again.

No if's, no maybes, just concrete news. That's what its all about.

Often if he gets another job any payment stops, if there is any. I reckon that’s why Howe is sitting on his hands. Or he may get a lump sum and be unable to join any direct competitors for a set time. All depends on the compromise agreement. It could also be he gets nowt and can leave without breaking his contract. If he’d pissed the club off I cant see them being generous. He will wash up somewhere, be sacked, and rinse repeat like Monk, making him another undeservedly rich failure.

Oh yeah, he's definitely one of those "managers". Monk bounced around a few clubs after we got rid because he got us into that high finish. He's Monk V2.
