The guy is staying, we had better get used to it. I know the football is pretty hard to watch at times, but he is finishing off the season better than Potter did.
Be careful what you wish for.

I'm a huge critic of his, even though I won't deny I would of bitten your hand off for this position at start of season.

It just has all the hallmarks of Garry Monk's first season for me at the moment although I didn't see the game yesterday, am I right in saying we changed to 3-5-2? Seen a few comments on social media that we looked alot more fluid in attack etc.

Cooper seems to be the sort of bloke who can spot a rough diamond and polish it in to a complete turd. We’re only going to go one way with this bloke but it won’t be in typical Swans dramatic fashion - it’ll be a slow lingering death until the flame just goes out and people will have stopped even noticing.

After 42 game
................. W.. d. l. gf. ga
Under Copper 16 15 11 55 49
Under Potter.. 17. 8 17 59 57

We have 4 more points than last season. Remarkably our running points total after each game is ahead of last seasons except after our second game. We have scored 4 goals less this season despite selling our top scorer, oli and most dangerous attacking player, dan.
Our defence has conceded 8 fewer goals injuries to our centre backs. We have played 6 centre back this season.

Away from home we have only lost 4 games. Last season we averaged 1 point per away game this season we average 1.5 points per away game.

Our one downside is that we have lost 7 home games.

Coopers loan players have all played a part this season.

Yet remarkable 50% of our fans think Copper should be sacked. Sacked for doing a better job with an inferior team to last season.

My feelings are on bumusement as I cannot get to grips with Cooper, this league ,nor the perverse practice of games played without crowds.I no longer stream games.
We are in a good position and ,at face value, for outsiders anyway,Cooper would appear to be doing a great job ,however games like Luton stick in my mind far longer than Brum. You always remember defeats more than the wins in any sport.

This league is appalling in standard and IMO,both WBA /Leeds and Brentford ,the promoted teams ,will come straight back down.

Ive no idea as to who would replace Cooper, nor what the Owners are planning,if anything;these are uncertain times for us all in every way and I hope we can all get through these waters without sinking.

Thats because 50% of our fans are dribbling misanthropes.

And this is achieved without Dan James and Oli McBurine (and several others).

Replaced Oli with Brewster. Maybe haven’t replaced James with like for like but he only played half a season so add in Gallagher and Ayew and we’re not categorically weaker as a team.

Mcburnie and Dan James were not 20 million pound players when Potter took over. James had never started a senior game.

This idea that Cooper has a worse team is laughable.

If he has a comparable squad NOW its because of the signings HE has made. Cooper has easily equalled what Potter achieved. To deny it... now thats laughable.

Potter ha a huge job o his hands and lost 20+ players with fist team / premier league experience.
I think 5 regulars left after the start of the season.
He had limited funds for buys or loans (actually said he was happy with the youth and no point bringing in players who were no better than we had).
He was prevented form playing expensive players in until the New Year for the balancing of books.
Brought in a couple of people but generally worked with the staff we had.
He had to bring forward players who had some senior experience but most very limited time.

Cooper had a settled core.
He was allowed to use senior players.
Lost couple of players who were exciting and characters but as a part James and McBurnie were less effective than Ayew and Brewster.

Maybe the difference is how dreadful a game of football it is to watch this season and how tactically inept Cooper is. The majority of the results came at the start of the season before he could really put his negative mark on the side.

I think the league is also a lot weaker this year, both us and Cardiff have been dire and one of us will seemingly get a playoff spot.

He’s not going anywhere our league position will see him start next season with us,he’ll be gone by Christmas though.
