Im not a fan of Cooper and certainly not Routledge but if we do the unexpected ,so what.

Not sure why fans turn against each other

If we all thought the same,I'd rather weed the garden

We need to keep out feet on the ground for sure as this could be simply a false dawn and a bit of an irrelevance and a painful end to the season.

On the other hand...

I criticized Cooper‘s decision to take Brewster off for Routs after Leeds game. Routs then goes on to be a hero against Reading. What lovely skill for that first goal. We armchair experts can‘t know what’s happening in training and yes, Potter was very good too. Pity short term personal ambition got in the way of his long term project.

He's not helping himself with stuff like this though. Why lie? Why say we haven't changed our way of playing when we so obviously have, both in formation and intent?

We have never changed our way of playing, we have never not believed in our players, especially the young ones, and through the ups and downs we have stayed committed to the plan

Something to look forward to. If we fail to get promoted this year, Cooper will do better next year. Even past Christmas. The football is not great however it has been and will be, successful. Can accept that.

Because he'd have to admit he'd been wrong most of the season.
When we win it's all Cooper and fisting the air - when we lose it's the players.

We will be the weakest team to get promoted, should the miracle happen

The fact we are in the playoffs at all, is a massive over achievement.

Brendan Rodgers

You probably should have deleted that bit.

Innit.

Brendan has clearly not watched us at all this season.

That's not true. We have an excellent group of players. I prefer to think that they are on a learning curve but if you consider them being the finished article then we have massively under achieved. That would be laid at the feet of the management.

Are people seriously suggesting that Cooper is a better manager than Potter?

I bet Brighton wouldn’t swap in a million years. Potter blooded many of our young players last season and they should have used that experience and kicked on this time. Instead they’ve mostly gone backwards under super Steve.

Bit like comparing Guardiola or Klopp with Arteta, Potter has a lot more experience of ‘being the man’ in all aspects of the manager’s role vs Cooper - suspect very few Brighton fans would swap, they’ve had a solid season safe in the Prem & already looking at strengthening for next season.

Cooper has done ok - B+ for me in school report style - we’ve had a good start & finish but been very inconsistent in between & at times have been painful to watch. That said to make the play-offs with the number of kids/loanees we have is a decent achievement & provided Cooper keeps learning & is supported this summer (fully expect Rodon & Ayew to exit) and can pull in a few freebies & use his U17/19/21 contacts to pull in the right loanees we could go into next season on the front foot & looking at another top 6 spot.

Just to be clear I fully expect Brentford to beat us comfortably over the two legs - I’d take a draw later today right now.

Or just an achievement.

Is this the time when Coope and the World Cup winning kids use their experience to get us through the play offs :D

People are very quick to say teams going up will be ‘the worst ever’...when in fact, with a couple of additions, it’s not too hard to compete at the bottom of the PL table. The bottom of the PL isn’t too different from the top of the Championship in my opinion. Relegated players will move to promoted sides etc. It all depends on how the players gel. People were shitting it last time we got promoted, Britton in midfield vs Paul Scholes, Garry Monk vs Wayne Rooney, Danny Graham vs Nemanja Vidić. The rest is history, as they say.
