• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Going to Plymouth on loan. Surely we should have been in this :?

I always felt that he flattered to deceive. Another "neat and tidy" midfielder but that's not what our squad needs right now.
We need a creator to link the defence and midfield to Yates, Piroe, Ashby and Key - someone that should be the first face Grimes looks for when he gets his head up.

He was getting better and better. Would have been an excellent signing.

When he had a run of games he looked good. Dipped in and out of team didn't help him.

Agree with this, and would suggest Oli Cooper could fit that role.

Play with 4 at the back, and that opens a spot for Cooper.

3 CB's is a bag of shite with our current defenders.

He was ok but nothing more than that

Had a good end to the season, but thought he was nothing special for most of it.

Last sentence, this is my big worry. Russ was stubborn with it and took ages to change. Duff will need to be an unbelievably good coach to get these three keeping clean sheets together. Just can't see it.

Came into an overloaded position, was given minutes over our own players, and only looked worthy of selection right at the tail end of the season. Could be a very good player one day thanks in part to the opportunities given to him here, but we don't get any benefit. So a poor loan.

Ashby could potentially be similar if he ends up getting preference over the RWB spot over Key. The club can only grow if our assets are developed, even if they may not have half the long-term potential of some of these PL temps.
