He's not well.

You're right, he's not well.

He was never the best in Wales(imo)let alone the world. Poor bugger seems to have gone through a lot.

Didn't know he was a cardiff lad.

Bit like gerwyn price, once your labelled as an awkward character its hard to shake it off
Bishop was far too talented for just one Wales cap

As a kid growing up I remember he got into trouble belting a bouncer and that case seemed to last an age.
I assume it was the last straw for the image conscious WRU.
He was a fierce competitor , a really tough player and would have been box office in today's "manufactured" rugby player world.
I bet he's glad he played in the era he did but like most of his generation they wouldn't have minded the earnings of today's players.
It's very sad to see him struggling whatever your opinion of him.
Rugby in his era was spectacularly followed and the club rivalries, crowds and anticipation of am upcoming match were light years ahead of the regions of today.

Typical Pooler player of that era.

Not as hard as he makes out according to a few people who bumped into him down Glamorgan Wanderers who I know though, back in the day.

Until recently I've struggled with rugby in Wales. Dragons, who represent where I'm from were basically turning into Newport and that's not something I could ever get behind. The new chairman Buttress though does seem to be more inclined on going down the "Gwent" Route.
