• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It was like a rolling maul on the dance floor

My Mrs got into a kerfuffle in the taxi queue once when wee were much younger. Someone tried to jump in front of us. Mrs C was having none of it. Needless to say we ended up in the taxi.

Some of the best pulling went on in that taxi queue by the multi-storey Saint

What about them hot dog vans, and chip vans, I used to love the curry sauce and chips from there, funnily enough was talking about those vans a few days ago to the missis, about how nice the curry sauce was, and she reckoned there was sultanas in it?

Oh yes, had many a nice kebab from there, although thinking of it, was the Kingsway Diner the 90's, and those vans on the Kingsway the 80's? I can't even remember when they all disappeared, ? I'm definitely thinking late 80s? 88-89? That's just a wild guess mind, but I'm sure they weren't around early 90s

Aye the KD was the 90's coming to think of it.

I’ve never eaten a kebab. They may be lovely but I’ve never been able to get past the fact that they look horrendous.

Mate of mine worked in a butchers down the market when he left school many moons ago, the boss told him to throw any scrag ends and offcuts into a plastic bin in the corner of the stall, fly's buzzing around it, went on for a couple of days when eventually a guy turned up to take the bin away, when he asked who the guy was he was told it was the owner of a certain kebab shop...

And now I definitely won’t be trying a kebab.

My auntie once owned a Chinese takeaway, one bloke every weekend would come in drunk and disorderly and cause a bit of bother.. every time without fail she would either gob in his curry or snot in it.. every time, I've bet we've all had something done in our takeaways.. but everything we eat is processed garbage from fruit to the tins
