Doug an ex miner, was renowned as a hard man on the snooker circuit, and not a person to fvck with. He was unlucky to be playing in an era of many good players.

He beat lung cancer in the early 1990's.

A true battler in snooker and life.

My mate beat Higgins in one of those exhibition tours they do, possibly around the same time. As my mate si slower than a limping slug, Higgins was near too exploding!
