Two soft yellows for me... Yes its fine margins and you want Flynn to play aggressive but he also needs to control it, first yellow the qpr player was mum miles from our goal and yes Austin caused the second yellow but Flynn shouldn't of got involved... Thoughts?

Inexperience by Flynny but I can’t help but love the lad.

I'm not sure what he could have done with his second yellow. Austin tangled him and even pulled him to the ground. He was done over there by someone who knows what he's doing.

Sh!t happens. He’s been in a warning for a while. He’ll wise up.

Charlie Austin can count himself lucky.

Ref was a complete fing homer, Austin nearly kicked Mannings head off 5/10 mins earlier, yet not even a yellow, he carded us for minor indecisions, but didn't for theirs, he Austin then carried on winding Downes up, he's a complete prick. I said last night that I'd love to have him in our side, I was wrong completely wrong.

The more I read about last nights game the more wound up I'm getting again, as I was after the game. Rarely does a game wind me up these days, but last nights flicked the switch, the bullshit spoke in the Studio after the game and the licking of Qpr's arse was galling, even from Trundle. The Qpr show it should been called, we had enough of that from the Ref.

I don't doubt it.... How come we never get homer refs any more, remember the ref with the turban he used to love us.

Today's Refs are all career Refs, no passion or empathy for the game, because they never played the game, all the proper Refs have left the game, what's left and what are coming in have their own agendas and preferences for Teams and we are well down the list.

Jim White and Simon Jordan were talking about it with Warnock earlier in week.

Love Flynn, his aggression, will to win, football brain, we will be extremely lucky to still have him here next season.

As for last night, shit happens, not sure he will learn from it either, loves a bit of the rough stuff.

Austin targeted Downes and got the result he aimed for,.
As yet we are not a "team" looking out for each other, as soon as Austin targeted Downes one of our team should have made sure Austin(an old head ready to exploit a situations or just a dirty player, you decide) was otherwise occupied. Always remember central midfielder Steve Mc Mahon from Liverpool keeping an opposition player occupied and had a yellow card for it, The opposition player then kept Steve occupied and had a card for it, McMahon team mate Steve Nicol then kept said player occupied(as McMahon couldn't as he had a yellow).
The midfield is a battlefield even in this day and age we need to make sure we win the battle whether it be with skill or muscle, good teams don't take prisoners.
Not there yet but hopefully getting there.

Indeed your first line is right - Austin took the yellow to ensure a second one for Flynn. Although doing it in the last two minutes of the game must have made him feel warm inside

Flynn's a good player, he made a mistake, he will learn from it and show Austin what a real player looks like come the reverse fixture

QPR stood a better chance of sneaking a winner against ten men. I believe Austin had one attempt a little earlier on. I thought Grimes got stuck in and we are starting to look like we can keep a clean sheet even though we are giving at least two gilt edged chances away per game. Such is life.

Flynn's is my favourite player now, but he was naïve on Tuesday night. Austin did a job on him and we were fortunate that it was so late in the game.

He's always a ticking bomb ("a red card waiting to happen" were the words used by my Ipswich mate when we signed him) but he's an incredible footballer. He's football intelligent, such a smooth player and could well make the step up to the PL.

He's genuine class and I'd much prefer to see him further up the pitch than the very busy Corey Smith who gets a bit lost up there.
