Duff and Cole

I don't think Paterson or Ntcham will adapt to Duff, work hard isn't their game or Piroe.. interesting, I hope Margetson comes in because he's proven before that his set piece training was working.. Duff isn't a sh*t talker either, like Russ, I hope

Straight up no nonsense no bullshit from Duff, great interview I thought.

Duff's intervew was excellent. Praised Martin just enough to show respect to his predecessor, while calling out all the things that need improving. Classy.

You are Michael Laudrup and I claim my tenner.

I'll happily give you a tenner for that comment, please forward your bank details and password

As said above, very refreshing.
One of the things we were clearly missing last season was pace and determination.
Duff has already focused those aspects.
As he said though "talk is cheap"

Talk is indeed cheap, as the Southampton faithful are about to find out

New manager in saying all the things he knows the fans want to hear, shocker

Let's see how quick the fans turn on this one if things don't go to their expectations.

Onwards we go,

Andy Coleman looks like he’s whizzing. He must be great at his job because if I was the owner of a multimillion pound business I wouldn’t be letting him anywhere near my boardroom. He’s either going to be a maverick, raging success or total carnage. I have a feeling it will be entertaining either way.

I liked what Duff said about getting to the PL - ie, no big PL club is going to give him a job so his best chance of getting there is by taking a club with him. Class.
Not the slickest in interviews but seems like a relatively straight forward bloke who shares my dislike of the word ‘philosophy’ being bandied about in football. Tidy.

I havnt looked forward to the start of the new season as much as this since we had Potter in our first back in the championship.

Impressed with Duff so far, he's saying the right things - just hope he puts them into practice.
Coleman looked totally wired in that interview 😳
