Duff is here to stay

I think we are slowly but surely waltzing down into League one, I can't see a way back, no dynamic coach/manager or whatever is gonna come here when everything has to be signed off by Levien despite what Coleman says about him being in charge and he's clueless anyway.

Yep. Levien and Co. are the problem. Give Duff a chance Coops. A knee jerk reaction mid-season is the last thing we need.
PS Please PM me your address for a a Xmas card.

Let's not forget Watson signed the majority of the players in the summer. He must shoulder the blame too.

We are going to be knee jerking into leauge 1 mate.

Naughton starts, Fulton and Grimes alongside each other again, Patino benched again
At home to a side hemorrhaging goals at an alarming rate.

Smell the coffee time...

Let's get something right here, the owners are not football people and we can hear that they have put this or that amount in..........they are taking us backwards.
If we had people who knew football at the helm and put in hf that has been put in by this lot then I would argue that we would be in a better position than now.

We had the argument that we need a more pragmatic man in charge, some put their side across and were shot down.....we got the pragmatic man in and it's worse than previous.
Why are we also following another clubs mantle(Luton Town)? Who did they follow when they started on their journey!?

We need to make our own path, tell our own story and be Swansea City once again..........we make our own story up, we need to go back to a pro active fresh approach.

With this lot in charge it's not happening.

OK starting line-up was a bit odd. I said to a friend when I saw line up that perhaps Arsenal want to recall Patino in January. It‘s an odd one. Pato always looks sharp in first half but then fades. I still think that changing horses mid-season could be a disaster.

Edit again- reply to Swansjaxx

PS Swans getting fewer penalties than Celtic these days 😉

You're wrong about Guidolin but right on the rest.

I think the way the club handled his departure was appalling, but it was definitely the right decision. He'd lost the plot weeks before he got given the chop. There was a game against Chelsea where we drew 2-2 in the end, but we could have been 5 or 6 down in the first 20 mins because he played a totally alien 3 at the back system. I think Curt bailed him out that day by encouraging a tactical switch. I think Curt bailed him out a lot during the time he was there, actually.

Nice bloke though. Gentleman. Deserved better treatment at the end.

Did OK against Liverpool immediately before his sacking for Bobbly the tactical genius.

Spot on. They haven't got a clue about football.

Silverstein spent a lot of time on Reddit earlier this year talking with fans. Many people drew his attention to Martin's many deficiencies such as inability to organise a defence, inability to win ugly, habit of playing square pegs in round holes, over rotating etc. Silverstein would have fed all that back to the club.

The rational response to that - if you understand football - would have been to either speak with Martin and ask him to make reasonable adjustments (effectively putting him on a performance management programme) or get rid of him and bring someone in who would improve the bad bits whilst retaining the good bits.

Instead they threw the baby out with the bathwater and decided to burn all traces of Martin, replacing him with a third rate Sgt Major impersonator.

We shouldn't be surprised though, because they do this every time they change managers. They go from one extreme to another. Because they're clueless, and they think they know best when they don't. They're an absolute joke setup.

Guys you got to remember..

The players were against him
Booed on his first preseason game FFS
Booed on his first home game
Barely a few games went and everyone wanted him gone
Head of recruitment and liaison staff were having a meal with Nathan Jones 1 day before our biggest game of the season

I'm not saying he's the Messiah.. or should be kept in his job.. but by Christ, talk about a poisoned chalice

He reminds me of me, everyone is against you.. especially when on your own.. there's pressure, then there's different pressure.. it's a lonely place, not particularly pleasant, but me and duff are still here

When you think the alternative to offering Guidolin an extension was re-signing Brendan, they left it too late. That was Huw though and he’s admitted it was his worst mistake (I’m not sure it’s worse than defrauding the Trust out of their share of the sale, but there we are).

True. The timing of the sacking was odd, in the wake of that game. Still think it was the right call overall though.

Bringing it back on to the main subject of Duff, all the evidence (unfortunately) suggests they'll leave it as long as they possibly can. This could drag on a while yet. I just hope we're not in the bottom three when it comes.
