Personally I'd always go with two seamers, especially with Root more than holding his own as the 3rd spinner in his own right.

Bazball mentality and the form of Duckett has put on quite a show today. An 88 ball century and an innings run rate of nearly six will make India feel quite miserable. Avoiding early wickets tomorrow is essential.

Hats off to Mark Wood bowling nearly 28 overs in that heat and getting a fourfa, Anderson 25 overs for 61 runs and a wicket. Outstanding.
Duckett literally taking the piss out of Mohammed Siraj was different level.

If England can get a lead of a hundred or so and get Indian in again before the close tomorrow that would be "if Heineken® made first innings leads" stuff.

Batting fourth on this wicket could be difficult, but England are reinventing Test cricket virtually every game...

Tremendous innings by Duckett, and tomorrow could be special.

India's innings changed dramatically when Jadeja run out Safaraz. Jadeja looked guilty as fvck and went in to his shell.

I'd love to have seen Safaraz come out this morning and batted for an hour or so. He's waited so long to make his debut for India - especially with a first class average of almost 70!!
