Poor old Olly Pope. Spends two hot days chasing the ball around, gets a very late shuffle up the order and then gets out to a second ball worldie.
 
Joe Root moves up to fifth on the list of most runs scored in Tests. Rahul Dravid is his next target, he’s about 800 behind with Kallis and Ponting also within easy reach.
 
Root becomes England's leading run scorer, and becomes the first player to cross the 5000 run landmark in the ICC World Test Championship.

He is also the highest Test run scorer of the 21st Century.

This game is following a very similar trajectory so far to the first test last time England were in Pakistan.
