• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I find watching Spain a strange experience. I mean, they're technically brilliant, but sometimes they just bore me. Last night - once the pundits said they'd be amazed if Spain didn't win - you just knew it was going to end 0-0.

It's like I said in my post above, they've got no one prepared to take the ball to the opposition in the final third, commit the opposition players through overlapping or dribbling and make chances. It's all "here you are, you have it, no you have it, no you have it..."

When we were Swanselona, we had guys like Jason Scotland, Scott Sinclair, Borini and DG10 who weren't afraid to make something happen in the opposition penalty area.
TBF Sweden parked the bus and any team playing against that has difficulty scoring.
That said, it could have easily ended 5 - 3

In fairness they had some good chances (although Sweden had one great chance as well). I guess what bores me is the fact that it's all very "safe". They invariably only play the percentage pass - as if it's a crime to give the ball away. I used to get the same feeling watching Man City sometimes but I think they're a bit more adventurous these days. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hoofball fan at all but if things aren't working, at some point - preferably in the final third - you've got to try something different.

TV football pundits.....getting worse at talking in clichés and mindless assertions......today's ITV special is ' the Hungarian goalkeeper will be hoping to play well'.

Full house in Budapest for this evening game. All cos they had to show they'd had a jab. WTF is wrong with our Govt FFS? Minging about no dancing at weddings and 25% of ground capacity aloud in. Wankers.

Christ. Is he moonlighting?

“ Hungary break on Portugal, it’s three-on-three but instead they decide to go back, with the ball ending up with their centre-back. “

I’ve been to enough weddings to know that dancing at them is a crime and should be stopped permanently.

Cannot believe Sanchez is back in rhe Portugal squad. He was absolutely shite in the Premiership with us.

He’s had a fine season helping Lille to the French title by all accounts.

Right then lads, I'm going for France to win tonight, so I suggest you back the Germans

Left Portugal too soon with too much expectation and being farmed out to struggling PL team did him no favours … nor did our fans.
Beyern fans I spoke to at the time couldn't believe we paid to take him as he was finding the move to them incredibly difficult.
Started to get his mojo back on returning to Portugal.
Changed the game today.

Sanches was talented, his positional play is up there with the very best, I was his only backer on the old site, He passed it to the side boards once, but Leon Britton done it twice in his last season with us, but I never rated experts or posters on here

Let's be honest about it, he never wanted to be here, probably told to be here.
