My lad has been in Trecco bay this weekend with his mate and his family, spoke to him today, said that last night was unbearable there, mouthy English fckers everywhere, and nearly kicked off with em cos of it. That's part the reason why these cvnts cant win it. As said, it'll be unbearable .Jinxy said:I think England will win it, and I for one am dreading it. I think they'll beat Denmark, so all hopes probs lie with Italy. As has been said, England would probably beat Spain.
Southgate in particular is a credit to the game, and there's no-one in the squad that I find particularly grating. It's the media and fans that would be unbearable if they win. We've had 1966 raked up 55 years, 2021 adding to that would wear out my TV remote mute button. For those of us who work in England, the banter would be relentless and wouldn't be that enjoyable tbh!
Ah love a bit of Trecco, just next to (H)iabut Bay! My mamgu lived in Poshcawl so know the place well.sainthelens said:My lad has been in Trecco bay this weekend with his mate and his family, spoke to him today, said that last night was unbearable there, mouthy English fckers everywhere, and nearly kicked off with em cos of it. I'm off to Stratford for few days next weekend for the races, coming back Tuesday...Monday will be Brill if they lose and total opposite if they win.
Happily take a 5k loss and an Italy win thanx.Jinxy said:Ah love a bit of Trecco, just next to (H)iabut Bay! I was whatsapping a mate from Bristol before and after the Ukraine game, and he signed off with "it's coming home". They just can't help themselves, must be in so much pain eh. I just hope on Sunday we'll all be singing "f* all's coming home". Let's face it, with all the luck of the draw and home advantage they'll never get a better opportunity so it may feel like now or never, preferably the latter!
Ps sorry to Phil and other posters from darkest Engerland, no hard feelings. Probably as Swans fans they are bucking the trend - humble, not arrogant and used to seeing defeat snatched out of the jaws of victory!
Here's a question for you SH - a £1k win at the races, or an England defeat (either against Denmark or Spain/Italy smart arse!)? Enjoy anyway!

They've been handed the advantage of basically being tournament hosts and they've taken advantage of it, although they did superbly in their one 'away' game last night so perhaps it's not the big deal we assumed it was.
They've played 5, won 4, lost none. Scored 8 and conceded none. They've avoided all the big boys and could even rotate half the team last night because the game was over early. Southgate has actually picked a team and not tried to shoehorn all his best players into the same eleven, despite the clamour to do so from the press and the usual knuckle-dragger fans. If it was any country other than England in the same position, they'd be overwhelming favourites to win the tournament.
They've been boring but effective. Italy are far more fun to watch but they were lucky Belgium didn't score another 2 or 3 goals. Has Pickford had to make a difficult save yet? Spinazzola getting hurt is another huge blow for them. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see England beating them in the final.

I disagree with the first statement as I firmly believe (and have since Day 1) that this is Italy's tournament to lose. They are coming through the hard games and winning them (I accept your view on they could have conceded against Belgium but you would expect the World's Number 1 ranked team to create chances) but Italy could have been 3 up before they created anything of note
Italy will beat Spain and - in Denmark and Italy - England will suddenly find the two best sides they have played in the tournament. If they beat them both then they will sadly be worthy winners and the media overload will go into mega drive. Although ironically the media reaction to Saturday has been substantially less than Tuesday night. Which shows the media cannot get over the fact it was Germany
