• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

My word, was it always this bad?

‘Why don’t you arrive at the stadium more than an hour before kickoff?’ Take a guess fcukwits!

‘What does the Swansea Way mean to you?’

We’re run by morons 🤣

I liked the way they asked the same question three times on different pages.
"Have you bought a season ticket yet for 2025-26 season?".
YES, I FECKIN HAVE!!! HOW MANY TIMES?

I found that question super weird asking what does Swansea Way mean to you. I'm not usually to critical of these things but the Servey didn't make me feel like I have contributed to feedback, just more of a chart for them to see who will buy a season ticket or not.

The Swansea way.

The ability to take something good and make it FUBAR
The black book of transfer window excuses INCLUDING how to turn off a fax machine/ lock yourself out of your laptop
To try and rip the fans off at any opportunity
The fans ability to forget when we were really shite with managers such as Adams/ Cullis/ Yorath (2nd time)/ Monk with a few others.
Who could forget Brad Bobbley?
Never seen so many goals in games.
Pity they were all in our net!

The "Swansea Way" is long gone.
Fan united is the start, was the case in the early 80s when the club had all but gone and the SOS era to force Petty out.
There was a fanbase, a foundation that could see the issues and were ready from the start to put a stop to the bad things happening by hook or by crook.

These days, appears that some fans don't see the real issues and others don't have the fight. Some of these people who stood up for the club back in the day are now older and rightly so enjoying the other aspects of their lives that matters.

It's still our club but it's not OUR club anymore, not been OUR club since 2016.
