I heard about a radio show that asked this recently.
I'd have to go back as a kid and say Millennium Falcon in 1982.
Although Xmas would have been nothing without family and the turkey as a youngster.
The anticipation as a pre-teen primary school youngster was immense.
Some kids looking back were hyper and drove teachers to despair with how excited they'd get.

Hello Dicky. Hope you're keeping well, mate.

Mine is also from a childhood era and I would have to go with my Spectrum 48k. Over the years I spent countless hours on it but I don't think that I ever did fully crack Jet Set Willy.

I had Operation Wolf on a spectrum 128k +2 with a light gun.
Dream years from 1989- 1990 the year it broke!

Easy one for me it was a blue Raleigh chopper bike😁
Think Santa bought it from Eddershaws on Oxford Street, long time ago.

A shout out for Operation Wolf. I think I completed that.

Had this Star Trek radio toy which picked up AM and FM frequencies and often people nearby on CB's. It had buttons which when pressed would emit laser noises etc which you could transmit as I found out.....

Anyway, I found that I could pick up CB conversations and every night I would pick up a frequency that a guy in the next street would use to talk to his girlfriend. It would be getting a bit steamy and I would press the laser button.

ZAAAAAAAP!! "Wasaat Steve? Shit myself like innit, I hope no one can hear us" ZAAAP ZAAAAAP! "hello? hello? is there anybody there?" ZAAAAAAP ZAAAAP!

Has to be my first proper bike (non motorised), when I was about 7 I think - parents sat me on it in a brilliant shop called Lockyers in Maesteg, so when I saw it on Christmas day the Santa story just didn't add up... Didn't care though, I was mobile!

I remember my first proper bike.

I was 15 and her name was Cath 👍😂

As a young kid I remember an Airfix Mosquito model was adored, as was a Technical Lego set a couple of years later. Followed by a Spectrum 48k (remember Crash monthly magazine?) and a Halfords 10speed drop handlebar road bike when I was 14. Recall that trip into Swansea City Centre Halfords so vividly to get measured up for it. It would have been very likely my old Mam and I would have had lunch in the Windsor cafe that day. That place was the business thanks very much Jackal!

I had a game published in Crash Magazine. They paid me £10 too. My excitement was short lived as they printed the code in yellow print on a kind of light grey background making it hard to read so no one could type in the code to play it. Still £10 happy days!
