He is excellent at receiving hopeful punts / clearances up field, controlling the ball and either winning a cheap free kick or holding it up long enough to pass it back to an advancing midfielder.
He had two chances to put the ball in the net tonight and he took both of them.
He looks to be an excellent signing for Cardiff and he will offer Wales something they were lacking.

He was adjudged to have fouled to get into the position to score the first you mention. I would have called that he made as many fouls than he won last night, coupled with him giving the ball away more than passes he made successfully, if not more.
He should be kept on the bench until we need to resort to those long, hopeful punts and developing a team which has more movement when we have the ball, and more pressure on the opposition when we don't.
