Appendix removed at 9 years of age.

Not as straightforward in the 70's as it is nowadays, before scans.

Involved some interesting prodding about if my memory serves me correctly šŸ˜‘

Apparently I had an ear operation to remove an abscess as a baby. First one I remember though is the op I had to repair my mangled right knee when I was 17. The surgeon told me after it that I’d probably kneed a knee replacement by the time I was 50. I’m 51 now and I don’t think he was far wrong because it’s giving me constant pain now.

Knee replacements are very painful in the beginning.

That’s cheered me up, thanks.

3 stitches in arm at age of 9.
Was amazed watching Doctor sewing my flesh back together as if he was darning a sock.
A real impression was made on me about how talented people in the medical profession are.

I broke my ankle playing football at 29, the doc said "give up football or you'll be using a walking stick by 35"
Carried on playing and broke same ankle 3 years later, gave up playing after that, but still walking unaided, arthritis does creep in occasionally though 😬

Both my knees are pretty much fucked now. There’s been two screws holding one together since 1988. I dread to think what’s floating round in there now. The noises every time I move it are gruesome enough.

Did anyone ever have adenoids removed?
I didn't but my sister did at a young age.
What exactly did the op involve?

I once had to have stitches in the webbing in my hand between my thumb and forefinger after picking up a cup that had just come out of a industrial dishwasher that was scolding hot.
The cup smashed and blood splat against the wall of kitchen I was working in, 1 person spewed
