Its not mid January yet you numpty, you're up for it then seeing as you're all over it.After showing early enthusiasm, Max seems to have gone right off the idea

I could be, it doesn’t really fit with the schedule and I don’t want to take the place of someone who could get better use. Let’s see how Christmas goes and what excesses entail. Its not mid January yet you numpty, you're up for it then seeing as you're all over it.

Oh, and don’t be so rude!
Not as early as your page 1 excuses."I could be, it doesn’t really fit with the schedule and I don’t want to take the place of someone who could get better use."
Getting you're excuses in early I like it !
Numpty isn't rude its a term of endearment
Not at all. I go to work at half 7 every day get home at different times of the afternoon, got a 28yr old disabled son so Mrs sometimes needs help there, we have got cover on a Tuesday and a Thursday with staff here from 3:30 to 9pm, which helps and I've got a physical and sometimes demanding job including driving far to much, my knees are wrecked as well particularly my right knee and approaching my 64th birthday, so its far from easy to commit to things after work especially if I got to spend half hr to get there and another to get back. Not as early as your page 1 excuses.

Although I'd rather do what I do instead of sitting in a stuffy office siting on my arse 5 days a week drowning myself in coffee
