Don't know why the ref didn't see it. He was ten yards away and looking straight at it. Maybe there were one or two bodies between him and the elbow?

Jeepers that’s a tad drastic, but ok!The referee should also be forced to come and clean our bogs after the Charlton game.
Offence. We are not (yet) Americans!
Whoops sorry. I thought it didn’t look right.Offence. We are not (yet) Americans!![]()
I'm afraid that ship has sailed. In its other context, I abhor the eradication of the word 'attack' or 'attacking'. I stand by my view that despite being sometimes likeable - though less so since 2015 - yanks ruin everything they touch, from food to football.Offence. We are not (yet) Americans!![]()
It is all very flawed. Imagine, say, we were in contention against Ipswich for auto and now as well as robbing us on the day, they would deprive us by benefitting Ipswich. It's impossible to avoid unintended consequences. Ditto if a player is sent off in the last minute. The team offended against is not the team that benefits.Personally feel the EFL should compensate clubs for each time the officials performance is sub standard.
That will soon force them to get their act together.
Can you imagine Southampton get promoted by two points?
Mistakes happen, that’s understandable. It is all very flawed. I guess the only answer is VAR...but only for foul play and penalties, not for analysing the arse out of every goal.
