There will be more to it than one new track and a cartoon video. There's been a marketing campaign running for months counting down to today, with most people assuming it would be the announcement of a new album

The marketing has featured the figure 17, with their next studio album being their 17th, so I'm still expecting a new album announcement at some point

He did indeed. Sabbath were between bass players at the time. Well at the time really it was Iommi plus whoever he fancied to fill in the gaps. Still a great album though.

Iommi's autobiography, Iron Man is an interesting read if you haven't read it. He goes through all those lineup changes of Sabbath at the time.
