• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

You can’t defend the indefensible.

If nurses get 1%, by the time they pay tax and National Insurance ( which the government will recover) they are actually getting about 0.7%. I am not saying for 1 minute the country isn’t skint, but we can afford more than 1%.
In the meantime we’ve spent £37bn on a pants track and trace.

Also if you apply the projected inflation which is estimated at about 1.6-1.8%, the net result is a pay rise of exactly sweet fvck all. Didn't they spend something like 2.6 million on the Covid press centre at No 9 Downing Street just saying, honestly you could not make it up.

They're happy to spunk tens of billions on HS2 and have the gall to say we're skint. I fkn despise the Tory scumbags! ...and with a highly possible independent Scotland within 10 years we are facing decades and decades of Tory rule. WHAT a bag of shite!

And there’s stories in the media about £200k being spent on refurbishing a flat in Downing Street.

Instead of giving them a pay rise, why don't they cut NHS staffs taxes for a few years, they deserve it, it's a no brainer, slash National insurance and all forms of tax for them, they pay 1%

Stop benefits to lazy sods, druggies, people bluffing there sick or disabled give money to nurses. To many people saying they are in discomfort getting too much money, if there no use to society erase them from the benefit system

And put more money into education so people can keep up and there not left behind.

That's already being done (apart from giving the money to nurses of course). Unfortunately it's proven that a system is created that can accurately separate those people you listed from those who genuinely need help, then the result is many of the most vulnerable people in society are worst affected.

Which we have seen lead to tragic consequences and unnecessary deaths, while the actual cost to the taxpayer is higher overall because so many people receive support and overturn incorrect benefit decisions made by unqualified people.

Yet another example of the government (whichever party is in charge) screwing over the public to enrich their mates and doing so in such an incompetent manner that it ends up costing us more than the old system. While successfully working to convince people like yourself that it's not them to blame at all and carrying on handing out lucrative contracts to their mates who have proven to be incompetent...
