• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I heard a little whisper the other day that Joey and Williams have had a bit of a falling out.
He’s employed by the club not LW.
Even if there is a whiff of truth then you don’t down tools.
And the last person would expect it from is Joe.

Who said he's downed tools? Think about it...
Completely get you. I was being slightly ironic saying about a “whiff of truth”.
We have a rudderless squad with no confidence. Senior players know it, are calling out the fraud and then getting punished for it.

Why do you want Cullen up front on his own it just doesn’t work. If we using wingers then there has to be two options for them. Inside drive with a pass or shot outside with a cross. There has to be a Vipotnik or a Bianchini up there but they must be told their domain is inside that penalty area not chasing down defenders and knackering themselves out

I thought it might work, but purely because he does get into positions to score but none of our other forwards do.

But it’s pretty obvious it doesn’t work (was the first time we tried it). He doesn’t worry the CBs at all and pull them out of shape.

Fair.
It was something someone told me who works on the U21 coaching staff, probably tittle tattle, and probably not helpful to put up on here at the moment.

People whinge enough about Vipotnik's alleged lack of movement now. If he just stuck to the penalty area he'd cop it even worse and see none of the ball all game.

Bianchini is probably better suited to coming a bit deeper as long as the passes come from midfield. Mostly they don't.

Two forwards who we've done almost nothing to help all season, yet carry most of the blame for it.

And it was the same with last seasons forwards.

Absolutely.

Too many stories coming out about Williams' training methods and the absolute risk averse strategies that he's stifling all the life out of the players with to discount now, even if the fact that we've all seen the likes of Ronald and Eom visibly regress with our own eyes over the last six months or so wasn't enough evidence that the problem lies in the technical area.

They need a change just as much as the supporters do. Just look at Yates this season.Villified and abused here. Top scorer and second in the assists list for a struggling Derby now he's out of Williams' influence.

The benefit of a decent coach at this level could get a tune out of Eom and the others.

The possession based risk averse nonsense is killing the whole squad now

A decent coach would get a better performance.
I have to disagree with anyone being able to get much of a tune out of some of them as they are also out of their depth. Eom wouldn't get a tune out of recorder class.
However, they still should be making some effort. It is their job that they are well paid for.

Craig Bellamy has Liam Cullen playing like Lionel Messi while Williams has him playing like Melinda Messenger.

True.
But playing for Wales he's surrounded by the Dallaa Cheerleaders. For us he's surrounded by the Townhill Street Dancers.
Williams is a huge factor but, we have to face up to the facts that our players are also not very good.

You could say the same for Eom and the Korean national team.

The Welsh squad is full of bit part players in the premier league and championship they're hardly anything to right home about.

Our squad is underachieving and that's down to the manager.
