• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Jephcott at Plymouth I’d go for

Agree 100%. Was playing in L2 last season and has taken to L1 like a duck to water, and in a team that isn’t doing particularly well. Can imagine Plymouth demanding a seven-figure fee though, which would rule us out.

Charlie Austin, hardly getting off the bench for WBA at the moment... would get us 15+ goals all day long 👍

Austin is on Prem wages. Can rule out anyone in that category.

Oddly enough, no team is willing to let anyone capable of scoring 15+ goals go in January (I know, how rude, right?). Our only option is to take a punt on someone with potential and hope the scouts have done their due diligence.

*BUMP*

Oddly enough, West Brom did loan Charlie Austin, to QPR, and he's just put them 1 up at Luton 👍

Another shameless BUMP

Scored his 6th goal tonight against Millwall, I'll say it again, why didn't we go in for him?...

He'd still have another 4 weeks training to get him to Cooper's desired level of readiness.

Linked to us again, this is the more likely signing than Thomas Henry.

He came on tonight as a sub for Ireland against Hungary, looked decent enough but quite raw and is nowhere near the finished article but a decent turn of pace.

Sounds more like our type of signing.
We need an experienced centre forward if we are going to make a fist at succeeding next season
