I have no doubt that this will be the set up from now on.

The majority of fans can see it, Martin came to realise it and I think Duff will have seen it today.......without doubt he would have seen it today.

I agree but he’s just signed another centre half

Not an issue, I can see Cooper going out on loan and possibly see one of Cabango or Wood going.
Even if Cabango or Wood don't go them we have 4 centre halves.

Allows us to push Naughton back to cover full back.

Allows us to push Naughton back to cover full back.
Or we play holding a MF and allow pacy FB's to push which would rule KN out.

Tbh while I prefer a back 4, I don't really care if it's a 3 or 4 as long as we have a clear plan and a pattern of play. I have not seen any evidence of that in the two league games so far. But it is very early days yet. All change on and off the pitch. Too soon to judge Duff.

Our current centre backs can’t play a 3. I think there is overwhelming evidence of that. Not their fault, but watching them struggle is painful. They re not trying to kick the ball into touch and pass behind each other, they are just not cut out for it. We’d honestly be better with Grimes, Fulton and Naughton as the back three, although we might have a few different issues then…

I’m ok with that as two out of the three that we have are not very good.

I agree with you, it's painful and I'd prefer a back 4.

I just don't think a formational change cures all ills. Never have. It's about the fundamentals of your approach, how you go about actually playing the game, that's how I think you sort things out.

Let’s give Michael a chance of playing his preferred system with his preferred players.

Hamstrung with shoddy L1 CBs in a 3.

In no way should we be judging a MD team handicapped with RM baggage.

Give the man the chance to wash away the Martin sludge. Ffs.

Yeah. Or he could play very decent centre backs as, you know, centre backs. Otherwise he might just be a twat, eh?

Andy’s back

I get confused these days with old age. Dr Pandy Anussarse? It would save a lot of time.
