• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

You can go to a players profile on the OS and view 'Player Stats'. I copied and pasted this lot for Franco from today's game:

Ten tackles is incredible, I’m always looking at stats perform, because I’m quite fond of a bet builder, and I’ve never seen ten tackles in a game.

Contracted until 2028 - happy days. Hopefully no silly release clause but unlikely I would have thought.
Yeah he was one of the batch that we signed up to those 3 year contracts with a + 1 year extension option

There were some good performances from the Swans tonight but Franco was head and shoulders above the lot

I lost count of how many times he turned over possession and got us moving on the front foot. His distribution sometimes lets him down but his tenacity in the tackle and the aggression he shows is usually just about on the right side of the law from the ref's perspective

Keeping him in the summer will be a huge win for us, any club with anything even resembling half decent scouts would already be sending back glowing reviews of him if they have watched him even just a few times this season
LOB and Eom a close second and third

Yep, he's probably had 10 chances like that at least this season.

Looks like him, eom and Vig are gonna be sublime signings. VIP in time maybe too
The last regime did at least make some defeat signings to be fair

You try not to get too attached to players.

But Franco has the heart of a lion and will be a very sad day when he leaves. Needs a bit of improvement technically and would easily make the Prem.

He shows the effort that far more talented players could only wish to have. The way he pickpockets players so effortlessly is something else.

Agree it’ll be a hugely sad day if and when he does leave, however, I can see him being looked at across Europe as well as the prem. a lot of teams need that heartbeat of a player, and you can see he’d fit right into a top level team if he was to move on.

He’s been a great signing and will stand us in great stead moving forward if he stays or goes with the money he’ll be worth. Kudos to whoever got the deal done

He was my MOTM too. Just a shame he didn't tuck that chance away right at the end. The one part of his game he needs to work on, composure in front of goal and hitting the target.
Yup, if ever there was an 'icing on the cake' moment, that was it!

At the moment Franco lacks that athletic level the prem requires and does lack composure when the game is frantic and high paced. As a first season though in the efl, you can see him improving with experience and refining his game. No better ball winner at this level and quite disciplined considering the level of physicality in his game. One for the future no doubt.

The amount of bookings he has picked up is shockingly low when you consider how physical his game is.

Compare it to Fulton who seems contractually obligated to pick up a yellow card within 5 minutes of coming on

Comparing Franco to Fulton is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Skoda from 40 years ago, but your post is spot on.
