• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Frank – I am so proud of our journey

You can love him or loathe him.  It seems that most football fans across the Championship loathe him but Brentford fans, and the media in general, seem to love him as Thomas Frank led Brentford to the Premier League with a 2-0 win over the Swans at Wembley yesterday. Frank won the play off final […]

Football always throws up a "marmite" figure.

He's assembled a team that do a job and were capable of promotion.
We were always dubious about our team if we are brutally honest.

The fact he's a bit of a bell makes it hard to accept he's a decent manager, but it doesn't mean he isn't.

Not a massive fan but good luck to the bloke, gets his sides to play with high intensity and no little skill either.

Brentford far better than us yesterday, although I have to say Locomotiv Llanberis would have beaten us yesterday.

Not sure how much they will succeed next season. The way they fell to the floor at the merest hint of touch yesterday was laughable, like the same when a certain team close to use goes up - its effective but would never survive in the Premier League like that IMO.

In the same way as our team wouldnt have either.

Bizarrely he also said that his side had been one of the best two sides in the Championship for the last two seasons despite not actually finishing inside the top 2...

They say the table doesn't lie but I felt Brentford are better than Watford.
However, why they have to resort to the cheating I do not know.
Personally think the three teams promoted will all come straight come back down

It is a bizarre comment from him because it suggests that the manager isn’t getting the best from his team.

Come on. We all know we would love to snap Frank up if he lost his role at Brentford. He's exactly the type of coach we need. Arrogant, confident, knows what he is doing and is everything we needed in a manager to get us where we were.

They'll be absolutely fine in the PL for 2 or 3 seasons, right up until players and fcking agents start demanding huge bucket loads of cash and plastics start following players instead of the club. To stand a chance they need to stick with their style. As soon as they move away from that they will have problems.

Now the bitterness has worn off I'm just jealous of the good times ahead of them like we had. Whether we like it or not they are the template we MUST get back to.

If he was that good he would have been snapped up by a PL by now.
