• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If the players had performed there’d be every point to this game simple….we’ve played plenty of meaningless games over the years it’ll be a chance to see what the likes of the Colwills and others can do.

We would have been playing Italy in a final, your point doesn’t make sense? And if we had qualified top of our group of course a friendly would have been needed, in preparation for the World Cup.

In fact I think this post is really nonsensical.

Do you not realise if the players had performed they would be playing Italy in the final and not Northern Ireland in a meaningless friendly that no player will really wish to play or fan gives a flying fiddle about?

Honestly….i’m well aware that if we’d performed ( Won ) then it would be Italy not NI…and I didn’t want to go to work for 45 years but had to …it was my job, probably only difference is if I hadn’t performed I would have been sacked, forgive me if I have little sympathy for the players having to turn out for a “meaningless “ game.

Your original post was one big contradiction. If you can’t see how this match is so unbelievably pointless, then that’s your prerogative.
