• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

With the amount of cash floating around the Championship VAR has to come, like it or lump it. Its not perfect but 99% of the decisions like the disallowed goal at Brum should be sorted.

Either that or have more referees for the referees at the games... Dishing out cards every time the ref gets a decision wrong. But then, who referees the referees referee?? More referees?

The only problem with VAR is human error - an issue we've seen a number of times in the past. No system is without its faults, but it can't be any worse than it currently is!

there is also an interpretation problem within VAR especially over handball that is nowhere near being settled.

Bollocks to VAR.

Ask Premier League fans who go to stadiums every week about how it's ruined the game as a spectacle, then come back and tell me how it's enhanced the game.

Goalline tech and offsides, ok, fine.

But the rest can get in the bin. Worst thing to happen to football in decades.

Look where the linesman is, yep on the 18 yard box line. Look where VP is and the defender who played him on, yep, around 6 or 7 yards out! He might as well be standing on the halfway line and flagged. Better still why not get rid of linesman altogether 🤔, maybe that's a solution 😷! Of course I'm taking the p*ss but the question is why have them in the first place if they can't do the job they are suppose to do. You see them running up and the line and warning up at the beginning of the game yet they can't keep up with play. What is more crazy is, how on earth can he raise his flag when he's not up will play? Why didn't say on his headpiece I didn't see it? Of course they can't say that, they'd look like idiots right. So what do you call someone who makes a decision like that when he's not even seen it? An idiot or bias perhaps? What is quite obvious to everyone in the game is Swansea City losing points on the back of corrupt bais officials. I'll be conservative as at least 4 points, and if those were included we'd be in the top 3 right now! Club officials aren't allowed to make any negative comments about the Ref, only good one's like Hull City boss did! I'll call it for what it is, bais and cheating! Process of elimination is as Sherlock Holmes once said, "if you take away the impossible what reminds, how improbable must be true". He didn't see but made the decision. The question is motive. Either way you look at he cheated!

The technology works, it's the idiots using it which are the problem.

If all officials were at competent standard we wouldn't need technology.

Even with things such as VAR and automated offsides they still find away to fuck things up.

Dropping a ref who has made a clanger in a premier league match in to the championship is utter nonsense. How is that fair on the teams in the championship or whatever league they are bombed in to as a punishment.

There should be more accountability placed on the officials for the blatant mistakes they make week in week out. Maybe they should be paid on performance match by match.

If any of us on here kept fucking up like they do we'd get sacked in no time.

The worrying aspect for me is how referees and officials in general are being promoted to the top tier, fast tracked far too early in their refereeing career.
Our opening fixture at Boro was refereed by Fari Hallam who had officiated in a handful of game in the Championship the previous season. He actually made his league debut as a referee in the EFL in the last game of the 22/23 season, and between the last two International breaks he was the fourth official in a Premier League game.
When I see a long time serial offender in making mistakes during 90 minutes - Stuart Attwell - strutting around with the FiFA badge on his chest you know that there are going to be cock-ups during the match. God help us!!

God help us indeed!

I can't name one referee and think you know what he's pretty decent.
