• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Just saw on Wales Online (take as you like) that, reportedly, only three senior players spoke to Grimes when he announced he was leaving. All a bit toxic.

In terms of regular starters, you can only look at our back 4.
No one else up the pitch is a regular, enough to be captain.
Darling wants to go, Key nowhere near, Tymon Haha
Cabango was really the only option out of the whole squad.
Which says more about the squad than Cabango.
I hope he thrives with it though.
Cabango was the obvious choice as you say. I hope we seem him be a lot more vocal than Grimes ever was. My darkhorse and my pick for vice captain would be Vigouroux.

This may be one of those moments that unites the squad. Saturday could be quite tasty. Hope the crowd gets up for it as I suspect the squad may be.

Hopefully the Matt Grimes love in on Twitter will stop now.
Clearly things had broken down behind the scenes.
No captain would jump ship mid season in our position.
F*ck him.

Maybe the club have dangled the capt in front of Darling and he's just wanting out so turned it down giving the club no option but to give it to Ben

I think if Darling had signed last month he would have been captain. Another chasing the dollar and a sideways step no doubt

He’ll get a “better” club than us and a signing on fee. He’d be nuts not to. I doubt we’ve really tried as he’s problem a high earner as Martin insisted. If we can get a fee before Monday, all the better.

I don't see Bristol City as a better club personally although Sheff Utd is an upgrade
