• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I think with us being close to this financial restriction limit they’re trying to work around it, does it end and start again in April or what?
I'm not entirely sue on the start and end dates.

You'd like to think it would begin at the start and end at the completion of each season. This is the world of football and common sense goes out of the window.

The only thing I can say at this stage despite a disastrous January window.
They only took control in November, it's still early doors and they certainly have time to prove their worth but that January window was a horror show.

Stay in this division and then the spotlight is well and truly on them to produce, in fact it's on them even if we go down.

You’re letting him off way too easily in my opinion. He’s been with us about 20 weeks short of two years, and as a significantly large shareholder until the takeover.

The press release at the time says it all. It’s worth a read back as a reminder of what they were supposedly going to do. https://www.swanseacity.com/news/swansea-city-appoint-andy-coleman-chairman

He’s been responsible for the day to day running of the club during a time we’ve lurched from one cock up to the next. Supposedly leading on strategy too. Maybe he did, but forgot the plan and implementation parts 🤷‍♂️

The warning bells were there, with that massive play on his utterly irrelevant ‘experience’.

I'm only saying 50K. Yes it's probably three times that amount. Totally missing the point that he can bring someone in on huge wages and yet we can't get players etc etc etc etc

The club clearly needs people on board who have been in and around football for the majority of their working lives. That's what's happening.

The other way to look at it is that if we get some people in to help run the club who know what they’re doing, their wages will be paid several times over when we don’t have to let players go on a free, don’t haemorrhage fans, don’t spend £millions on manager payoffs each season.

He's done his bit to try and appease the fans by getting rid of Williams ( shitting out of the forum, the reality).
Now he's working his way through the rest of the club.
Tosser.

The majority of us were calling for Williams to go and he has done that based on the performances on the pitch and player development.

Moving the forum is common sense, it's not a case of him shitting out.

Posts on this thread are bit over the top.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
I shouldn't have posted this thread and I'll leave it at that 😁

Many of us have asked for Williams to go and for the internal structure of the club to change drastically.
It might have been a month overdue but Coleman finally caved in to the pressure.

He has sacked Williams, he has brought in a new Director of Football in Montague.
There has been a restructuring internally as well, how all of those work out will need to be seen.

The biggest criticism that Coleman had faced recently was not a lack of willingness to do the hard work but that he was trying to do everything himself. These changes at least on paper are to remedy that, we won't really know what impact they will have until September when the summer transfer window is over.

Trying to do it all himself, yes. But also doing that with zero experience and not being savvy enough to realise that was a problem. Arrogance maybe?

But otherwise, yes good points 👍

You're quite right, but the other criticism has been that Coleman doesn't have a clue what he's doing. That, in conjunction with being a micromanager, is a terrible combination.

I undertand the frustration and not covering Coleman’s history. But we need to now get behind the club more than ever. It's not the time in my opinion to start another negative wave. They are not going. They just invested. Let's try and build something even if your faith in them is low.

Coleman is a grade A jackass, he shouldn't be in charge of a dust bin let alone our club. Whilst he's still in charge we'll only go one way, that's down.
