• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

£100 barrier broken for day tickets to Download and forced to buy a weekend-long parking pass even though I'll only be there for one of the days

I'm only interested in Maiden and Megadeth - all I need now is for their stage times to clash 👍

Sigur Ros in Manchester 8 Nov

Saw them in 2001 I think it was. Supporting Radiohead at South Park Oxford. Supergrass and Beck were also on the bill. Sigur Ros was not very well known at the time but they were good. Would love to see these at Swansea Arena but Wales always seems to not get acts of this caliber visit here, unfortunately.

Top tip for Donington. Bring a crash helmet as those bottles of piss hurt :D went there in 85, 86, 87 and 88 and those bottle fights were mental.

Slightly off topic saw Stewart Lee a few weeks ago who was excellent and Derren Brown last week - who was off scale as per

I’m sure last time Maiden headlined they requested no one to be on the same time on the 2nd stage.

Popping along to our local venue in Aberdare (Jacs) next Sunday to see Steve Ignorant from Crass. Last time I saw him was when Crass' played their last ever gig at Aberdare coliseum 38 years ago (fuk I feel old).

On the topic of Jacs, ex Bowie guitarist Earl Slick is booked to play there.
