• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Big earner that, they are going to lose millions.
That's held in June, wonder if many more concerts are going to go the same way.
We had one cancelled in September last year, which was put forward 12 months, hope that
doesn't go the same way again.

It's the knock on effect for the businesses that has pitches there and around the surrounding areas.
Grim

It’s not just the bigger events that have been badly hit. Think of all the smaller gigs that have had to be cancelled. I know a lot of musicians that have had no income for a long time and many of them not eligible for the small grants offered by the government.
I’ve really missed our jazz gigs in Swansea and wonder how many venues will still be open when this pandemic eventually disappears. Sad times all round.

The scale of organisation it takes to put something like that together, they just can't chance doing it, sinking the costs in and then maybe having to cancel.

Huge blow to many small businesses.

It was mentioned today that the current restrictions could last until, at least, May....grim.
