• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

whatever happened in the transfer window and the excuses - why leave it two hours before the window shuts before someone says lets get a player but anyway....
We NEED a proper goalkeeper so what are the rules on getting one including overseas and international clearance?
We have already saved a week of cash for the WBA player and surely insurance is helping pay Bendas wage while he is out.
Talking of out, someone finish the phrase - Yanks _ _ _ ?

Hull, who are directly above us in the table and have about as much chance of being promoted as we do, went and got Karl Darlow from Newcastle. Not a world beater, but plenty of Championship and Premier League experience.

We are too inconsistent to go up, and too good to go down (cough).

Let's not waste valuable funds on a keeper who won't add long term value. We are much better off preparing for the summer window and allowing whoever is in charge the opportunity to plan for the season ahead (easier said than done of course).

One of our inconsistencies is due to goalkeeping and I believe (though yesterday may have cost us too dearly) that we are good enough to get in to the top six especially with a reliable safe goalkeeper that the defence can feel safe and secure with. We all knew that Birmingham were going to win when 7 minutes additional time was displayed because of the above. Our funds are going to drop if fans stop going because of the above as well.

We prepare for transfer windows and plan for the season ahead? Too much interference from over the pond for that I’m afraid.

I have to believe that we do, despite results saying otherwise.

Fisher is totally anonymous; he has no influence on play, no anticipation, never comes for a high ball and actually backs off towards his line to make the angle easier for an attacking player coming through one on one, like he did for their second goal yesterday. We might as well put a tailor's dummy in a yellow jersey in our six yard box, it would have the same effect.
