• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Wow. I passed there yesterday, and I really can't believe they have sold the car park there to coastal, WTF, even when there car park was operative you would struggle to park by there. I really feel sorry for the small business, they are truly ferked

I marvel at people who run small businesses. How on Earth some of them survive is a mystery. I doubt this will help.

Lived around here for years and mostly only ever seen about six cars use it at any one time

When I've been down there over the years, it's been absolutely rammed. Think last time I parked there was a few year ago, had an appointment at Vinnys for micro suction, and I was panicking because the car park was full, luckily someone left.

Perhaps Dillys Kitchen had a flash sale on with it's vegan spinach & cherry tomato quiche that day? But usually, even in mid afternoon it was always quite...

Hmm, I am going to get that, I like spinach, tomatoes and quiche, never tried that, but it sounds awesome.

If you are from the area, I won't dispute what you say, I can only speak from personal experience.

Your point stands up though mate, the only car park disappearing in a busy shopping area shows how the council swings these days, but at least it's housing association that's being built...

That's how Swansea Labour roll, most prob gearing it up for the 15min cities, After reading the article, I would like to know when coastal bought that, as far as I can remember that place has been a car park since the 60's.

Uplands is always generally very busy, no major car park there. It was absolutely rammed this afternoon, and they hold a monthly market there that gets a lot of people attending.
