• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

A gem based on what exactly? Hes 17 nobody has ever seen him their just basing it on the clubs hes been "linked" with.

Wasn't Govea and Parker linked with the likes of Leipzig/Juve last year? It means nothing, 99% of it is agent drivel. And if he does go it will be because they offered him a very good wage not because they have a better pathway.
Absolutely, reminds me of how people were having kittens about Iwan Morgan being poached a couple of years ago. He is still young of course but he hasn't exactly set the world alight from what I can see.

If Matos selects him regularly, I’ll bow to your judgment.
I’ll make a note of today’s date, and reflect on it later in the season.
He wasn't signed to be a starter - but his pedigree suggests he can be a good squad player.
It is a good job he is an experienced pro - because dogs abuse on no evidence can crush your confidence.

This does raise an important point (even though I have no idea how good this particular prospect might be)
Managing the contracts of your academy players and providing a pathway to the first team are crucial parts of what makes a successful club.
At least Matos will get that - after all it was his day job at Liverpool.

He really impressed me when I saw him.
He looked like a Leon/Joe type of player.
Hopefully they can work with him.

A case which highlights the need to regain Academy 1 status where the compensation for losing a player such as this is far, far higher.
